What we see most often in Dubai
Moisture cycling is what damages joinery in Dubai, and it runs in the opposite direction to what people expect. Interiors are held very dry by continuous air conditioning while outdoor humidity is high, so any timber or MDF near a balcony door, an unsealed edge in a bathroom, or a wardrobe on an external wall repeatedly takes up and releases moisture. Unsealed MDF edges swell and never fully recover, veneer lifts at the joint, and solid doors that were hung in summer bind against the frame in winter. Sealing every cut edge — including the ones that will never be seen — is the difference between joinery that lasts and joinery that is remade in three years.

Usually yes. Sticking is normally hinge wear, frame movement or seasonal swelling. Adjusting the hinges, easing the edge and resealing it typically resolves it without a new door.
We favour moisture-resistant board with fully sealed edges for anything close to bathrooms, kitchens or external doors, and we confirm the board specification in the quotation.
