What we see most often in Dubai
Nuisance tripping of earth leakage protection is the fault we are called to most, and in Dubai it is usually moisture rather than a faulty breaker. Condensation from A/C, water in outdoor or bathroom accessories, and damp in external light fittings all raise leakage current until the RCD reaches its threshold. The second recurring issue is heat-degraded terminations: sustained high ambient temperatures inside a distribution board, combined with a termination that was never torqued correctly, produce a joint that runs hot, oxidises and eventually chars the busbar or the breaker body. Both are found quickly on a planned inspection and are dangerous to leave.
